中文摘要:文章归纳了地壳上地幔各种岩石矿物的速度特征。长英质岩石的上地壳具有较低的 P波速度;各类花岗质岩石到云英闪长质片麻杂岩组成的中部地壳P波速度为 6.4~6.6 km/s;由石榴石、角闪石、辉石或橄榄石组成的下陆壳P波速度最大,达到了6.8~7.0 km/s,当 P波速度大于7.3 km/s时则应有相当高的榴辉岩和超镁铁岩的高速组分。在地壳下面的岩石圈地幔主要由橄榄岩质岩石(超镁铁岩)组成,地震波纵波速度达到8.0 km/s以上。

Seismic Wave Velocity Structure of Crust and Upper Mantle and Petrological Interpretation
Abstract:The authors sum up the P-wave velocities of rock-forming minerals in the crust and the upper mantle. The felsic rocks that compose the upper crust have lower P-wave velocity, the P-wave velocity of the granitic and greisen-dioritic gneiss complexes that compose the middle crust is 6.4~6.6 km/s, and the lower crust rocks composed of garnet, amphibole, pyroxene and olivine have the highest P-wave velocity: 6.8~7.0 km/s. When P-wave velocity is higher than 7.3 km/s, there must exist high velocity components like eclogites and ultramafic rocks. The velocity of peridotite that makes up lithosphere mantle (ultramafic rocks) is higher than 8.0 km/s.
