Abstract:This is an area under investigation, and what is discussed in this paper is only for researchers’ reference. The m ineralized area is located in the middle of the northeastern sector of Upper Yangtze platformal folded belt in the Yangtze paraplatform and the northwestern limb of the Shuanghe syncline, with dip of strata 155一172°and dip angle 52—65°.The exposed strata are mainly Triassic at the core of the syncline and Permian, Carboniferous, Devonian and Silurian on the two limbs. Fractural structures are not well-developed in the ore district, and no magmatic rocks are seen. The ore deposit occurs in Siliceous portion(Gufeng layer)of Permian Maokou Formation. The orebearing sequence is main!y a suite of neritic black thin-layered carbonaceous siliceous rocks some 13 m in thickness intercalated at some places with thin-layered siliceous carbouaceous shale and sapropelic coal. The overlying strata are Permian Wujiaping coal-bearing member which shows unconformable contact with the ore-bearing bed; the underlying strata are limestone member of Naokou Formation in conformable contact with the ore-bearing bed. Orebodies are in layered form and consistent with the strata in attitude, with the length over 3 km and thickness 8—10m or so. Selenium ore itself is asort of fuel(stone coal). The refinement proceeds as follows: the selenium ores are first pflc d up and burned, and selenium-rich soot(with Se content 19.96—23.31%)is collected from flue settlement chamber, and then selenium is extracted from the soot.A serieS of experiments demonstrate that seleniumis mainly scattered in organic carbon, and it is inferred that selenium exists mostly in adsorption form with a small part distributed in micrograined or fine-grained pyrite as isomorphous composition. A few individual selenium mineraIs, such as achavalite-klockmannite(?), are observed. The associated composition vanadium and molybdenum can be utilized comprehensively. |
