Abstract:With the development of the ANN system theory, the Artificial Neural Network (AN N) technology is becoming an increasingly effective discrimination_classificatio n method for remote sensing image_processing. This paper deals with basic princi ples, technical advantages and means of ANN, and presents a case study carried o ut by the authors. Some basic problems on the practical application of the discr imination_classification method of ANN for remote sensing have been discussed in the paper. The authors hold that the discrimination_classification method of AN N is one of the most effective methods for detecting copper_polymetallic mineral ization image_anomalies in remote sensing for mineral exploration.
