Abstract:A stratigraphic-geochemical study along typical geological sections in the Archean terrain of Qingyuan County indicates that the gold content of the Archean supercrust rocks of Hunnan Group and Qingyuan Group is much lower than the gold abundance of the crust. This suggests that, under the action of late ore-forming energy, gold tended to migrate and accumulate, forming various types of gold deposits. The correlations between gold and other minor elements
show that gold often forms multi-element associations together with chalcophile and siderophile elements.
