Abstract:Besed On a study of alkali metasomatism and alteration of granites in No.36l uranium deposit, the authors point out in this paper that granites in this area have experienced multiphase post-diagenetic reformation;they also describe the role of various sorts of alkali metasomatism and alteration in mobilization, transfer and enrichment of uranium during the ore-forming process and the metasomatic and alteration zonation of rocks that resulted from these activities. The leaching ratios of various granitic uranium sources and the amounts of uranium they could respectively provide were calculated.These data combined with REE analyses suggest that ura nium was mainly derived from host rock-γ51-1 andδγ51-2 granites.
