Abstract:The hydrogen sulfide reservoir in question is stratigraphically located within upper Dolomite and lower Dolomite members of the Paleogene Kongdianzu. Both members consist primarily of dark-colored microcrystalline dolomite containing several intercalated beds of argillaceous and arenaceous clastic rocks with quite a lot of anhydrite stringers or nodules occurring from place to place. Within the total thickness of 230-300 m of upper Dolomite member, only a minor section of about 20 m contains hydrogen sulfide, and within the total 400-473 m of lower Dolomite member, there occurs a layer of 40 m and natural gas. Sandstone lies chiefly between these two Dolomite members, having thicknesses of 60-178 m and containing oil. The hydrogen sulfide reservoir has poor porosity (generally 3-5%) and permeability (generally 1-2 m. D.). The wells reach the average depths of 2500-3000 m with temperatures 70-80℃ and pressures 200-300 kg/cm2 at bottoms. The preliminary analyses of a certain well gives H2S=92%, CO2=3.6%, CH4 = 0.3 % , C2H6 = 0.3%, C3H8 = 0.1%, C4H10 = 0.1% and air = 3.5%.
