Abstract:Geochemical Potential Field is an area of the earth’s space in which certain component in certain phase of certain material system in the earth’s space acted by diffusion force depends upon its co-ordinates(X, Y, Z), where the conditions given by are satisfied. The characters of this field are described as: (1)Summation of geochemical potential relating to the co-ordinates X, Y, Z, or pseudo-velocity head, pseudo- pressure head and pseudo-potential head of certain component in earth’s space is constant and it is given by. The relations expressed above are respectively defined as constancy of geochemical potential. Their physical significance is identical with that of the other form of mathematical expressions of constancy of geochemical potential defined as.2) Geochemical potential field is a vector field characterized by the strength of geochemical field defined as diffusion force acting on one molecular volume (or one atomic volume) running from its higher concentration phase to lower coneentration phase and it is given by theoretical understanding cited above is applied to interpret the ore formation field examplified by concentration and contraction of WO3 tenors of wolframite quartz veins in China.
